P90X: Day.02

20 02 2009

Day Two was killer.

Off to work I went first thing in the morning. As far as soreness is concerned, from yesterday’s workout, I picked up one of my babies and my whole upper body felt like it was hard at work. Did my thing, and then Laurel and I went to lunch. I had Lettuce Cup with Minced Chicken and a small bowl of Singapore Style Vermicelli. Yummy. We talked, did our thing at JJ Bakery [Yummy mochi!] and then I headed back over to the site to cover for Natalie. Another thing, about m y lower back, I was jumping on our crash pad (one of our mats) and I could feel how sore my lower back was. So fun. Handled everything over there, ate my Strawberry mochi and finally got into communication with Phil.

Went home to get a couple of things done. Met up with Per and then took off to go bowl league. At league, Phil and I split a half of a Club on wheat. My arms felt like jello. Picking up my 14lb ball was a workout in itself for my whole upper body and my lower back. Bowled some janky three games and then took off to work on Plyometrics.

Phil and I got down and dirty. My legs were super sore doing all the jump squats. Granted, everyone got a good laugh out of it when we were doing our Pitch and Catch sets. Punks. Apparently, left handed throwing and thinking/control don’t go with me at all. Per, Kim and Phil were rolllling. Excited to see how my legs will feel tomorrow morning! Phil had brought over his recovery drink and we said, “Cheers.” I munched down on my carne asada tacos and then proceeded to take Phil home.

En route, I got smashed by a VR6. The dude was tailing me, I downshifted and took off then next thing I know I see him pass me like nothing. Last night was possibly the first time in a long time I’ve ever driven my car so hard. Good times. On the way back home, I spoke to my dad about what’s going on with him. Got home and jumped into the shower.

My arms and chest are still killer. My core very much sore. Everytime I stretch, it feels sooo gooood. I shall see what my legs look like in the morning. Exxxxcited!

Current weight: 132.5 [I gained a lb]
My weight goal: 115

Still gotta do measurements. Will do measurements by Sunday afternoon–5PM.

P90X: Day.01

19 02 2009

Super excited for Day One.

I started my day off going to work number one then to work number two shortly after. Between work one and work two, I went over to Trader Joe’s to pick up some lunch. I had a Trader Joe’s Tuna Sandwich [1 serving] and a Raspberry hand dried fruit bar [1 serving]. I taught my classes and then headed over to Phil’s.

En route, I had half a Trader Joe’s Chicken Caesar Salad [1/2 serving]. Got right down and dirty with Chest Arms and Back. I got my ass kicked. Push ups are most definitely a part of the workout regimen I want to work on. Really though, I have no choice. The Ab Ripper X is a pretty solid core workout. I’m excited to see what kind of progress Phil and I will make in the coming weeks.

Afterwards, Phil hooked it up with a P9oX recovery drink, which is suuuuuuper good. It’s like Tang with a little bit of cream or limk. YUMMY. We took “before” pictures (granted, it’s after Day One but hey… the earlier the better) and then talked about some dieting. They’re down at the bottom for future reference. He suggested Costco [Kirkland] Egg Whites and broke the serving down to me.

On the way home, I finished up the rest of my salad [1/2 serving] and then came home to make a 1/2 package of Chicken Ramen [1 serving] with 1/4 cup of Egg whites [1 serving-1 egg]. Made Chris some noodles as well, and jumped into the shower.

My deltoids are sore, my shoulders not so bad. My triceps are done and my biceps feel loooovely. As far as my traps are concerned, they’re feeling pretty good. My chest and back, I probably won’t feel until tomorrow morning, but we shall see.

Current weight: 131.5
My weight goal: 115

Next thing to do is do measurements.

Wahoooooo! Sooo excited!
