This is an awesome awesome presentation. [Thanks, Diana, for sharing!] My head hurts beginning to think about what the future holds. What can you do for your future, your children, and the world?

Knowledge is a process of piling up facts;

wisdom lies in their simplification.

Harmony.

without comments

“If you were all alone in the universe with no one to talk to, no one with which to share the beauty of the stars, to laugh with, to touch, what would be your purpose in life? It is other life, it is love, which gives your life meaning. This is harmony. We must discover the joy of each other, the joy of challenge, the joy of growth.”-Mitsugi Saotome

This is, perhaps, one of my most favorite quotes of all time. We really are social creatures. Without others, we would have no one in the world to play with. Life is a game that we always try to win rather than just playing it and winning effortlessly. The game of life does take work, no doubt about it… but the catch is: when is it work, when is it play, or could it be both at the same time?

It seems that lately, everything’s been that work is play and vice versa. Coming into work has been cake. I’ve been spending my time hanging out, working my ass off, and yet, I’ve been making a difference effortlessly. Going to the restaurant takes time and energy but it is what it is being there. Being there for the love of a dream of my brother-in-law. Note that he’s not my brother-in-law quite yet, but will be soon enough. Hanging out with my family, my cousins, and just acting the fool. Everything seems the same all the way through. Nothing’s hard and nothing’s easy. I’m just moving along through enjoying every moment of it. It may be an upset, the greatest of all time moment of happiness or whatever crap or much there is.

I feel that my purpose in life to help others get that they are the cause in the matter of others… especially in the world of children. I want my kids to set themselves up for their life that they can be cause in the matter of their families, their lives, and the world. What they say matters, creates their world, and everything lives in their language, and that what they say is valued.

Zen Poet.

without comments

A Zen Poet said, “A person who is a master in the art of living makes little distinction between their work and their play, their labor and their leisure, their mind and their body, their education and their recreation, their love and their religion. They hardly know which is which and simply pursue their vision of excellence and grace, whatever they do, leaving others to decide whether they are working or playing. To them they are always doing both.”

I love this. That is all.
